Biowel indent to develop a Semiautomatic Nucleic Acid Extraction Machine (SNEM) which can be used by vast number of users for their high-end testing services. The complete automation of this system requires high amount of capital investment for the end users and the technology is available with very few companies. Even though there are quite few semiautomatic machines in the market, the indented yield of the DNA / RNA extracted is compromised in most of these equipments during the process, this is mainly due to the lack of knowledge of workflow optimisation and erroneous manual intervention in this process. To overcome this, Biowel indented to introduce Robotic Liquid Handling Technology in Semiautomatic Nucleic Extraction Machine which can streamline the tasks involved in extracting DNA/RNA from a sample. This will eliminate the possibilities of contamination and cross reaction which significantly affects the result of the testing procedure. This equipment find their application in molecular biology, pathology, forensic science, environmental research, and drug delivery. These automated systems are advanced enough to extract the nucleic acid from variety of samples such as tissue, cell culture, whole blood, serum, plasma, swab, etc.
