1. Blood Gas Analyser

The purpose of a blood gases test is to evaluate the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide and the acid-base balance, or pH, in the blood. Blood gases testing is primarily used for diagnosis and monitoring of different medical conditions.

Diagnosis is the process of finding the cause of a person’s health problems. Measurement of blood gases can aide in the diagnosis of health problems like:

  • Lung and breathing disorders: When you breathe, your lungs transfer oxygen from the air into the blood and pull carbon dioxide out of the blood so that it can be exhaled. This process, called gas exchange, is fundamental to health and bodily function. A blood gases test can help detect abnormal oxygen or carbon dioxide levels that can be linked to breathing problems or lung diseases.
  • Acid-base imbalances: The body has several systems to maintain a healthy acid-base balance, and a blood gases test can help show whether those systems are working correctly. This can also offer information about the body’s production and use of energy, which is known as its metabolism.
  • Kidney problems: The kidneys play an important part in regulating the tight acid-base balance of the body, so a blood gases test can provide evidence of possible kidney disease or disrupted kidney function.

Monitoring of Blood gas is testing that is done after an initial diagnosis to observe how a patient’s condition changes over time. A blood gases test may help assess whether treatment is working in people with breathing disorders, kidney disease, metabolic problems, or other acid-base imbalances

B. ABL 90 Flex

The ABL 90 Flex blood gas analyser is specifically designed for demanding hospital wards like ICU, NICU and ED. The analyser gives results of 17 directly measured parameters from a sample volume of 65 µl in just 35 seconds with automatic sample mixing and automatic quality management for each sample

C. ABL 9

The ABL 9 blood gas analyser is specially designed for critical care environments running only a few tests per day. The analyser provides with reliable results in less than 77 seconds with 70 µl of blood.

ACCESSOROIES

Blood gas samplers:
Radiometer Syringes help caregivers minimise the risk of unnecessary blood contact and reduce the risk of preanalytical errors.

  • SafePICO syringes help providing a homogenous sample. The syringe comes with a built in mixing ball and dry electrolyte-balanced heparin, helping to minimise the risk of clot formation.
  • Also, the vented tip cap on the syringe helps to remove air bubbles in the sample, while reducing the risk of contact with the patient sample.
  • The safePICO syringes are pre-barcoded facilitating correct sample registration at the bedside and helps eliminate patient identification errors.

2. IMMUNO ANALYSER

AQT 90 FLEX Immuno Analyser

This is a Point-of-care (POCT) biomarker testing fully automatic analyser providing fully quantitative results with a significant reduction in result turnaround time (TAT) with utmost operator safety and ease of use.

The AQT90 Flex immuno analyser does not require manual pipetting, sample or test kit preparation and can be used with whole blood or plasma samples – ‘SIMPLY DROP ‘N’ GO”. It has the capability to run up to 5 different tests per patient sample and covers and extensive range of critical bio-markers.

Biomarker menu: TnI, TnT, CKMB, Myo, NT-proBNP, PCT, CRP, D-Dimer, βhCG, Procal

The results are obtained between 11 – 21 minutes depending on the biomarker you are running, and the analyser allows to initiate up to 30 samples per hour – enabling to manage more patients at the same time.
